secretGeek and John Sands

As I've stated over and over (well, maybe not that often), I'm horrible about linking out. I do it rarely, and it makes me feel like a schmuck, so I like to try and make up for it a little by doing these "shout out" posts every once in a while.

Today, I'm only going to link to a couple of people. Their blogs are relatively new to me, and I've really enjoyed both.

The first is secretGeek. Julie's linked to this guy before, and I was an idiot for not paying as much attention as I should have. He's a fabulous writer, and has a fantastic sense of humor.

The other guy, John Sands, is someone I encountered around mid April. I learned about him after following a link in one of my referral logs.

I like his stuff because he's an excellent communicator, and he has a good mix of technical/non-technical stuff. He also has a good sense of humor, with the ability to turn a title, a few words, and a picture into a laugh. I like that. Check him out here.

John is also into skepticism (as in: how to think critically), which is something I dig as well. I think that Carl Sagan's “Demon Haunted World” should be required reading for all of humanity, and John also seems to regard the book highly. I'm into that.

And that's that.

Back to my continued existence as a link miser...

Thanks Rory -- you the man!

Now I even forgive you for that prissy little bitch fight you had with Roy. Keep up the excellent blog-work.

Leon.

There's this piece of wisdom I picked up from Adam Cogan (Aussie Microsoft Guru), he said:

"Never send an email in anger."
(Christ knows i've *broken* that rule often enough)

I guess the same applies to blogging in anger.

Blogging under the influence however is to be recommended, as you've shown.

I've often wished I could just undo that whole week.

Let us never speak of it again :)
