Vegas for the week

[Note: Before writing this post, just wanted to let you all know that I’m pretty sure my melodramatic babbling yesterday was due to continued Lexapro withdraw – I’ll be better soon, methinks.]

I’m heading to the Microsoft Mobile and Embedded DevCon this week – should be there from Monday through Thursday.

If you’re going, and if you want to hang out, then you ought to drop me a line.

That is all.

That's why [re. yesterday's post] if I ever wake up and find I had possibly as it were imbibed too much alcohol before the blissful onset of unconsciousness [not that that ever happens, you understand], the first thing I do is rush to Outlook and check my "Sent mail".

Hey Rory, OT, but i just wanted to say that i was walking home from work and listening to the .Net Rocks! show you had with Don XML, and the google wierdos, i almost collapsed on the street laughing... people asked if i wanted to call an ambulance...
Too bad you're not the co-host on .Net Rocks! anymore, but we all know that Carl was jealous of you being funnier than him... :)

Ahh, the post-baring-one's-soul-post that leaves you with the same feeling of guilt, shame and indecision as an ex-virgin waking up the next morning with a sailor...

Glad to know I'm not the only one who babbles their way through melanchololy darkness and, when past it, wants to remove the traces of their lack of control... but doesn't because, as crappy as it is, it's still a poignant peice of themself.

Paul -

I'm going to be getting into town at about 6:30, which means I probably won't be at the hotel until about 7:30.

So, to answer your question, I'm in Portland :)

That's an excellent description.

I also think that it might be what people feel after reading their really bad poetry during open mic night (provided the person in question actually has a conscience - I've met "poets" who didn't, and who felt no shame for what they had done).
