My New Job: Revealed

All right.

I've been a little Mr. Teasy-Pants about where I'm finally going to wind up.

If you want to know what's going on, then check out my very own "exit interview" on Channel 9. They did one for Scoble, and so... hey - why not me?

Just because I'm only about 1/1000th as well known?

That wasn't a good enough reason to stop the C9 team.

Check it out.

Rory, are you a snake ?  The reason I ask this is that you look really different in every picture/video in every post/event.  So, do you shed your skin at regular intervals to reveal new avatars for every new event or blog post.  I saw your video about creating .net database applications for Pocket PC on MSDN TV and you looked a whole lot different.  Your updates on your useless podcast have a different kind of image.  And now this video.  Whats with all this???

I didn't, but it makes sense. Without Richard Dean Anderson, the show is, like, even stupider than it was before.

Very nicely done, Mr. Blyth.

P.S.  In future interviews, you probably shouldn't throw things at your interviewer...but, it's just a suggestion.

That was a stunt hand. My stand-in was disguised a a C9 beanbag, and I was sitting on him.

There's actually much more production in C9 than people know.

The shots are actually almost two years old :)

They were for some marketing thingy. I sometimes cut them up and use them for my own purposes.

"Nice video...it was nice to actually *see* you again."

I've been thinking about posting videos from your trip out (just for you, of course - I wouldn't make them public) so you could watch them and get all sad the way I do.

But then I thought it'd be crappy to make you all nostalgic and sad.

So I didn't.

"And yes, you do look rather handsome in teh black shirt."

For serious.

"P.S.  In future interviews, you probably shouldn't throw things at your interviewer...but, it's just a suggestion."

Hey - who's the professional moron here?

Huh?

Yeah.

I think I'm doing all right, yo. If you were here, I'd hit you with something, of course (note to HR and PR which are both no doubt scanning my site like mad now that I have this job: the object with which I would strike the female to whom I am speaking would be soft and filled with feathers - the only pain she would feel is that of joy unbridled).

I consider myself to be, perhaps, the foremost thinker, visionary, and genius in the history of the entire human race.

If it weren't for all the other morons who came before me, I totally would have invented electricity... and... um... machines... and water-wings... philosophy - yup - that's another one... and aspirin... and quantam something-or-other... and stuff like that. And also math. And maybe art and spelling.

But I didn't.

What was your question?

I'm coming home and watching it over and over again.

I suppose this means that, being on campus, you now have a more direct source for Microsoft writing pads right? I'm down to my last one, and for some reason, going through and writing Microsoft on the top of every page of the normal ones I have hasn't done the trick.

8 + 1/2 - Federico Fellini's most acclaimed work, along with La Dolca Vita, 8 1/2 won the Best Foreign Film Oscar in 1963 and is one of the great films about moviemaking. The title comes from Fellini's previous six solo films plus three collaborations which count as a half each, making 8 1/2.

And Mark M. knows this? And do you know what he makes of that? And now Mark thinks you.... good grief, you probably have (and still are) messing with his head about it.

To be honest, I thought you were, then I thought you were both, then I let my wife decide and she said you're weren't and not both either - she is always right, so the decision is final: you are not.
But you might want to mess with Mark's head a bit more making him think you might be both (I tried to do that in the millahseconds 3 comments, so if he gives you looks that are stranger still then what you got so far, you know where it's from).

btw I don't see how living with Geoff can be practical. But you survived.... kudos, man.
