I got a pleasant and totally unexpected invitation this week to head up to Seattle and meet the people behind Parallels. If you've been reading my techy nerdy stuff, then you know I'm a bit of a fan. Using it right now to author this post using Windows Live Writer, which appears as just another app on my OS X desktop.
I have another reason for heading up there, but I'll hold off on chatting about it until next week.
And, no, it's not that ("that" in this case refers to whatever you were thinking).
For the two and a half people who have been reading A Neopoleon Creation Story, I apologize, as there's going to be a pause in the story. The next post will go up on Saturday. I've had a lot going on this week, and although writing the creation story has been the most entertaining and most rewarding thing I've done in months, real life is going to yank me out of my much-richer-than-I-ever-expected sandwich-dominated world of corruption and betrayal. If you've enjoyed it so far, though, you'll find Day Five is worth the extra little wait. I'd post it, but there are bits I want to rewrite (after years of keeping this site, I think this may have been the first time I've ever used the word "rewrite" in the context of my own stuff).
So...
Nerds - I'll fill you in on the Parallels stuff.
People with Good Taste in Entertainment - I'll get Day Five up soon.
Tah, everybody.
Happy Friday.
