Joseph James Rogan or simply Joe Rogan made a name for himself by doing stand-up comedy, commentating on mixed martials arts fights, and for hosting TV programs (like Fear Factor), podcasts, and his own radio show). Rogan was born in Newark, New Jersey in 1967. At the age of 7, after his parent’s divorce, his family moved San Francisco, California, then to Gainesville, Florida, then later to Newton Upper Falls, Massachusetts. It was during his teenage years that he got hooked into martial arts, competing in taekwondo, karate, and kickboxing. Since he could not go pro, he turned to stand-up comedy. He went to New York in 1990 and moved to Los Angeles in 1994.
He married Jessica Schimmel in 2009 and have 2 daughters, born in 2008 and 2010 respectively. Schimmel has a daughter from a previous relationship before marrying Rogan, with whom Rogan has a good relationship with. In one of Rogan’s podcasts, he let slip that he has a 20-year-old child. The Rogan family lives in Bell Canyon, California.
